Actors for Improv Group – Sacramento

Dangerous Men/Dangerous Women, The SacActors.Com improv group, will hold auditions Thursday, November 8 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, November 11 at 4 p.m., both at the Geery Theater, 22nd & L Basement of a Victorian.

The improv group does long form as well as skits & bits.  Director Evan Nossoff trained with Del Close, who pioneered long form improv as well as serving as coach for the first cast members of Saturday Night Live.  The Sacramento Bee dubbed Nossoff a master of improvisation.

Actors will join a 6 member ensemble.  It will perform the last three weekends in January, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  After that it will play on Sunday as the headline group for Sacramento Live.

NOTE: There are no fees for participating in this ensemble and actors will share in proceeds.

The ensemble works every Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m., with additional time scheduled when a show is looming.

Actors are expected to make a 12 week commitment to the group.  After that period actors can take time off to do roles at other theaters.
